Description

Tallaringa Conservation Park, located 100 km due west of Coober Pedy, lies on the fringe of the Great Victoria Desert and is a vast wilderness of vegetated dunes and gibber rises. The park supports a variety of important wildlife species that have adapted to live in this dry arid area. The Anne Beadell Highway, a rough bush track, commences on the eastern edge of Tallaringa Conservation Park and ends at Laverton in Western Australia over 1300 km away. This route is not inhabited, access is by 4WD only and there are no services or facilities. Camping is only permitted in clear areas within 50 metres of the Anne Beadell Highway.

Access may be restricted due to local road conditions.
Call the Desert Parks Hotline for current information on 1800 816 078 or Transport SA 1300 361 033.
