Description

Coffs Harbour is a major coastal resort town which is also famous for its bananas and fishing. It is located on Australia's holiday coast where the mountains meet the sea, some 570 km north of Sydney and about 350 km south of Brisbane.

The town of Coffs Harbour has a population of over 20 000 people, with average summer temperatures of 26 degrees Celsius and average winter temperatures of 18 degrees Celsius.

Coffs Harbour is also a well known surfing spot, with regional competitions and a large surfing community within the Coffs Harbour area.

Jetty Beach is located near the Marina. The famous Coffs Harbour Jetty extends from the beach on the northern end. Jetty Beach is protected from the ocean swells by the Marina's breakwall providing calm swimming conditions.

Beaches

Boambee Beach is located to the south of Jetty Beach, on the other side of Cabarita Point. Boambee Beach is an open beach with variable conditions.

Going north from Park Beach you'll find Diggers, Campbells, Mid Sapphire, Moonee, Shelley, Emerald, Fiddamans & Sandy Beach.

These beaches provide good surfing conditions & some of the points along the way are great for fishing. At Moonee Beach there are good facilities, some shaded areas and an estuary, making it a popular choice for families.
