Description

The Sydney Showground is undoubtedly Australia's most versatile sporting and exhibition complex. From Australia's biggest event the annual Sydney Royal Easter Show, to international baseball games, rock concerts and even weddings - the Sydney Showground has hosted them all.

Set on 30 hectares and built in under two years with the help of 8,000 workers, the Sydney Showground showcases Australian design and construction excellence. Construction of the Showground set new standards in building a world class facility based on the principles of ecologically sustainable development.

Centrepiece of the Showground is the Dome and Exhibition Complex, which can be configured as one uninterrupted 312 metre long room, equivalent to more than three football fields.

The Showground also features a Main Arena with permanent grandstand seating for 10,000, The Stables constructed from recycled timber and inspired by the architecture of 18th and 19th century English churches, an open air woodchop stadium and numerous pavilions.
