The rich colours of this park delight photographers. See changing landscapes, a stock camp and old yards on the 157 kilometres Warracoota drive. Experience bush camping at Hunter's Gorge or Gum Waterhole. Go fishing, canoeing and birdwatching. After rain, enjoy spectacular wildflowers.

Location and how to get there

300km south-west of Winton. Head south from Winton or Boulia, or north from Windorah and Bedourie. Four wheel drive only. Roads become impassable after rain.

From abundant waterholes, wetlands and river channels to sand dunes, grass plains, dunefields and weathered sandstone ranges, this impressive park is a haven for waterbirds in an arid landscape.
