Description

At 1235m, Mount Bruce (Bunurrunha to Aboriginal people) is Western Australia's second-highest peak. Rising from the spinifex-covered plains, it is revered as one of the state’s most scenic walks offering stunning, panoramic views all the way to its  summit. It is also much more accessible than nearby Mount Meharry, which takes the title of the highest peak in WA by just 18 metres.

Getting To The Top

There are three walks of varying lengths and difficulty:

Marandoo View is 500 metres and takes 30 minutes return.

Honey Hakea Track is 4.6 kilometres - allow 3 hours return.

The walk to Mt Bruce Summit is 9 kilometres - allow 5 hours for the return trip. This walk is recommended only for fit and experienced walkers.

All walks offer the chance to view the busy Marandoo Mine site.
