Description
At the southern end of the Whitsundays, Brampton Island is almost entirely National Park surrounded by sparkling azure waters, golden sandy beaches and coral gardens. Brampton is all about fun, romance, adventure or pure escapism.
With a rhythm of its own, there are activities to enjoy at every imaginable tempo - from fast and furious water sports, to relaxing by the pool. Brampton has twelve beautiful beaches, with seven being easily accessible via the National Park walking trails. Just off shore is a diverse range of fringing reefs where you can discover an amazing array of marine life and soft and hard corals.
For the explorer you should try the Jet Ski Safari to circumnavigate the island and see beautiful beaches and secluded spots.
Brampton Island is located 32 kilometres north-east of Mackay and 50 kilometres south of Hamilton Island, with daily transfers from both locations. The channel between Brampton and neighbouring Carlisle Island disappears at low tide, enabling guests to walk across to uninhabited Carlisle Island.
